PASSION IS RELENTLESS DETERMINATION TO ACHIEVE WHATEVER IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU...
I have a confession to make. I love to talk its easy but truly listening to others is hard work. it is hard to listen. Ever since I was young I was hooked on talk radio. I was constantly searching out content to motivate and inspire me to push even further in my own life and career, try new things and broaden my perspective on the world. Podcasts have proven to be a perfect fit. During your commute, cutting the lawn or doing things around the house, a Podcast in your ear can transform these mundane chores into opportunities to build a better you. Here are some guests on my Podcasts that have been most helpful to me and my trusted friends in the LUS community since I began my show back in 2016.
The Listen Up Show with Mitchell Chadrow
As host of the #ListenUpShow podcast, I am reaching out to prospective guests asking if they would be interested in being on my show. At first, some guests are thinking, “I’m just a young entrepreneur, or a retired professional who started a side hustle, or someone famous who only goes on shows that have 1+ million downloads per month. “So why would these prospective guests come on to the ListenUpShow?” “Why do the ListenUp Show listeners want to hear you talk for an hour.” Realizing that this confrontation is taking place in many entrepreneurs heads, I share my own medicine, jump in and contact these prospective guests because I know how helpful these guests will be for our listeners.. I am glad I do. When I have a guest conversation or am talking advice with them, I realize that I must also spend a lot of time talking about my own personal story.
It is a mistake to keep quiet and not share. After all, we’ve learned since we were all kids that sharing is a good thing.
Your story is what connects you to other people
Don’t shy away from telling us your story because, everyone has a story, and yours is just as special! Actually, I realized that is just exactly the point! I have a story, you have a story and if we share that with one another, we will find connections that bond us together more tightly than perhaps we could’ve before.
Those connections create a foundation for building healthy, deep relationships long into the future.
We are in different chapters of our stories.
Maybe someone will hear one of my interviews with a guest who is earlier on in their journey, facing some of the same challenges that you have faced. While that part of our stories may be similar, I hope hearing these guests help you read ahead a little and know that if you just persevere, chose what you want next and begin working towards it, you to can build a better version of yourselves. Take advantage of looking to others further along than you on your journey and take comfort that if you just keep pushing, maintain the right intentions, it is all possible.
Sharing is serving.
By just talking through your story, highlighting those nuggets of connection and the challenges and triumphs of your own path, I am actually being of service to those who are listening. So simple. So critical to building the legacy I want.
I have had the fortune of interviewing over 75 entrepreneurs, business and professional leaders so listen up to these interview, I hope you subscribe today. One such interview was with the late Dennis Shields. Dennis was a special guest and I wish had had more time getting to know him. You will find my interview with Dennis insightful on his personal story and how it can motivate you to get out there and tell your story.
